After campaign ends, EC sends notice to Yogi Adityanath over 'Kejriwal feeding Shaheen Bagh biryani' comment

he Election Commission on Thursday sent a notice to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his comments on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The EC notice, which came after campaigning for Delhi elections ended, was on Yogi Adityanath's comment that "Kejriwal is feeding biryani in Shaheen Bagh".

The UP chief minister said in the Delhi elections, on one side there is the leadership of Narendra Modi for development and nationalism, on the other, there are the Congress and Kejriwal who "support divisive forces".

"The BJP is working with zero tolerance towards terrorism. But Kejriwal is busy sponsoring and offering biryani in Shaheen Bagh," he said.

Taking note of the comment, the Election Commission has asked the UP CM to reply by 5 pm on February 7.
