Huawei P40 to sport triple cameras, likely to skip on periscope style lens

After a difficult end to 2019, the new year is shaping up to be an important one for Huawei. The company has a number of new phones in store, and among them the most important is arguably the P40 line-up of phones that the phone maker is scheduled to launch in 2020.In the past, all the P40 phones have been tipped to bring with them a rectangular camera set-up with as many as four lenses housed inside it. Among others, the set-up has been pegged to bring with it a periscope style lens to follow up the one that we already saw on the P30.However, it now appears that it could only be the P40 Pro that may get the camera set-up, while the non-Pro variant of the device will bring with it a three-lens set-up only. The information has come courtesy of a Weibo user called Ark Clicks who took to the Chinese social media platform to post a picture of the smartphone camera modules on a rack that appears to be somewhere in a production facility.
